This years event promises to be another great one. In The Whitley Arts Trail, Mark Aerial Waller, amongst other notable artists will be exhibiting work in peoples living rooms where individual households get to live with a piece of art in the run up to the Whitley Arts Trail on the 28th October. The Restoration Centre will be at the centre of whats going on and housing the exhibition, as well as serving refreshments. Artist Jo Thomas will again be working with us and curating the event.
Other events around Reading include Gallery3, Nuit Blanche and the St Mary’s Project featuring artist Raymond Yiu.

When Reading Brewery recently announced it was to close its doors in Whitley for the last time, it was sad news. Now, however there is a rainbow. The brewery’s Richard Spink contacted RC and other local charities to offer us free disposal of some of their Office Equipment, Chairs, Plants and other sundries.

Keith Dolding (RC Manager) said “We’re thrilled that the brewery has helped us to kit out part of the Restoration Centre in this way. We now have extremely useful cupboard space, desks, clocks and other items which we would have had to raise funds for. I’m grateful to Richard and his team and to friends of the RC who gave their time to help us move the items across the road to the centre”.
